John Glenn High School is partnering with the Field Neurosciences Institute to offer free baseline concussion testing to John Glenn High School students. Space is limited, so you will have to sign up for a designated time slot. Two dates are being offered (10/25 and 11/8). Please pay close attention to the date and time you sign up for.
A baseline test is a brain-health test performed by a trained healthcare professional that is done pre-season or before a concussion occurs. The purpose of the baseline test is to measure multiple areas of brain function in their healthy state that are commonly affected following a concussion. This way, if an athlete does get a concussion, we can compare their post-injury state to their baseline parameters to help make an accurate diagnosis.
Tests will be held in the JGHS front gym lobby.
At this time, this is only being offered to JGHS students.
Students – please wear t-shirts, shorts, and athletic shoes.
