After a disappointing showing earlier in the week vs Saginaw Hertiage, the Bobcats looked to bounce back vs the Tawas Braves. The Bobcats controlled the pace of the game right out of the gate, but had a hard time finding the back of the net. It wasn’t until halfway through the first half the Bobcats were finally able to score a goal when Casey Monville finished a pass from Michael Johnson in between the goalie’s legs. The Bobcats took their 1-0 lead to halftime looking to finish more opportunities in the second half. The Braves were the first team to strike in the second half tying the game 1-1, but Michael Johnson answered with two goals of his own assisted by Zach Price and Michael Reminder making the game 3-1. The Braves did not go away and managed to score another goal making the game 3-2, but the Bobcats were able to hold on for a 3-2 victory. Keeper Cole Parks finished the game with 5 saves with 7 shots on net in his first varsity soccer game as goalie. The win improves the Bobcats record to 8-2 on the year and they travel to Midland Dow in a SVL conference game on Monday.
